Our pergolas can withstand strong wind.

The VILLA PERGOLA is tested and engineered to withstand up to 80 mph winds while its louvers are closed. That's low hurricane-force wind!

If the wind is over 80 mph, you can open the louvers to let the wind go through. We have many customers in Florida reported back to us that their Villa Pergolas lasted through a hurricane while keeping the louvers open.

The WEATHERPROOF PERGOLA and GRAND RETRACTABLE PERGOLA are tested and engineered to withstand up to 120 mph winds while the louvers are closed.

The WIND-RESISTANT SCREEN is tested and engineered to withstand up to 60 mph winds while closed. We recommend opening the screens during strong winds.

Our pergolas can withstand snow.

We are proud to say the VILLA PERGOLA is engineered to withhold 15 psf snow load.

The VILLA PERGOLA 2.0, WEATHERPROOF PERGOLA, and GRAND RETRACTABLE PERGOLA is engineered to withhold 25-63 psf. That's a lot of snow!

If the snow is over this amount, we recommend opening the louvers to let the snow fall through.

If you have a mix of wet and dry snow, this means the pergola can hold approximately 1 foot of snow on top while the louvers are closed. We recommend opening the louvers during a snowstorm or during your snow season.

Online sources state dry snow is about 4 psf, normal snow is about 6 psf, and wet snow is about 14 psf. Please note, this is for reference only.

Our pergolas are waterproof.

The VILLA PERGOLA and WEATHERPROOF PERGOLA are engineered to withhold a good amount of water. Water flows from the louvers into its gutter system on the side, which then empties out to the corner posts at ground level.

Our pergolas reach 13-19 feet in width with 4 posts.

The VILLA PERGOLA is engineered to be 13 feet apart without a center post. Our biggest pergola with 4 posts is the 13x13’ pergola with louvers that are 13 feet wide.

The WEATHERPROOF PERGOLA is engineered to be 19'8" apart without a center post.
