Our pergola is tested and engineered to hold up to 80 mph winds while the louvers are closed. That is already low hurricane force wind!

If the wind is over this range, please open the louvers to let the wind go through. We have many customers in the Florida area who gave us feedback that our Villa Pergola lasted through a hurricane while keeping the louvers open.

Our wind resistant screens have a 60 mph wind resistant rating while closed. It is recommended to open the screens when strong winds come.

We are proud to say our Villa Pergola is engineered to withhold 15 PSF of snow load. That is a lot of snow! If the snow is over this range, please open the louvers to let the snow fall through.

With mixing of wet and dry snow, this means it can hold about at least 1 ft tall of snow on top while the louvers are closed. It is recommended to open the louvers during storm or snow season. (Online sources states Dry snow is about 4PSF, Normal snow is about 6PSF, Wet snow is about 14PSF. Please note, this is for reference only.)

Our villa pergola is engineered to be 13ft apart without a center post. Our biggest pergola now with 4 posts is the 13x13’ with louvers that are 13ft wide.This is not what economy brand can do. Guarantee.

There was a slight mixup in the shipping which took longer than expected but, when I email the company for info on the delivery update they got back to me right away to explain the issue. Also the 2 screen channels I ordered had a slight difference to them so we had to make a slight modification on one of them to be able to finish the install. But I did have a few questions and I called and they were very helpful over the phone and answered my questions very well and if they weren't available they returned my call promptly. I have a west facing patio that is useless in the summer sun because it is so hot. I wanted some shade control but I also wanted some rain protection since I live in the pacific northwest and we get a lot of rain. I had a Struxure PNW come out and give me a quote and they quoted over $75k for louvered pergola.That was much more than I was looking to pay. I saw the option at Costco but it was cheaper and wouldn't attach to the side of my house or look like a permanent structure. The 13x19' wall mounted Villa Pergola with shades was the answer to my problem. It was only a fraction of the cost of the quote that I got. It attached to the side of my house and it looked professional and permanent. It was shipped in a very short time and I installed it on my own easily. I did have my son help me lift a few heavy parts. I love it! Our patio went from being useful about 1-2 months a year to being a great outdoor space nearly 12 months a year.

We love our new pergola! It took about 5 hours with screen would have been quicker if we didn’t have it oriented incorrectly the first run through. We’ve spent about 70% of our waking hours under it because it so darn comfortable! Oh, some folks noted that the integrated light is too dim. I disagree, but that may be because of our night-time use is for dining and get togethers, rather than fine-handwork or reading. We had friends order a Hanso weeks before we ordered this and they are still waiting.
